1. Purpose
NI Private Speech Therapy recognises the importance of protecting the environment and is committed to conducting speech and language therapy services in a way that minimises environmental impact and promotes sustainability.

2. Policy Statement

Use resources efficiently and reduce waste wherever possible.

Recycle paper, packaging, and other materials where facilities exist.

Minimise paper use by using secure digital communication and electronic record-keeping where appropriate and permitted under data protection regulations.

Reduce travel-related carbon emissions by:

- Offering teletherapy and remote consultations where suitable.

- Planning home or school visits efficiently to minimise unnecessary journeys.

Purchase products and materials from ethical and sustainable sources where possible.

Conserve energy by using low-energy equipment and turning off devices when not in use.
3. Responsibilities
NI Private Speech Therapy is responsible for ensuring that day-to-day activities reflect this policy and that environmental considerations are integrated into professional decision-making.
4. Review
This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if there are changes in professional practice, technology, or environmental guidance.
